Our Senior Instructor is Brian Walsh. Mr. Walsh is a retired 20 year veteran of the Connecticut State Police. He became a certified instructor in Police Martial Arts under the Police Combat System, L.O.C.K.U.P while assigned as an Instructor at the State Police Training Academy. Mr. Walsh's other law enforcement assignments included:
As a State Trooper training has always been an important part of Mr. Walsh's life. Therefore his training classes are focused on the practical applications of self-defense / self-protection. How you train is how you will fight and that is why at Brian Walsh's American Martial Arts we train for life.
He is a Certified Instructor in American Kenpo Self-Protection System and has been involved in the martial arts since 1977 studying the following styles:
He has developed Strike Point Self-Defense, which blends the fighting principles and concepts of the martial arts with real life applications of self protection.
He has also taken his years of training and experience and developed Kenpo Flow. Kenpo Flow takes the American Kenpo system and slows it down to focus on the flow of the techniques. The techniques are then made into a form that is practiced at a slower pace to bring out the graceful aspect of the art.
Mr. Walsh brings his years of real life training and experience to every class to share with his students.

Christopher Walsh is our Assistant Instructor. Mr. C. Walsh's passion for the martial arts is evident in his instruction.
Mr. C Walsh was instrumental in developing the Strike Point Reaction Training and the Instructor Training Program.
